20 January 2005 - Kilimanjaro brings belated Christmas joy to Aids orphans

Pictured are Leon Kamba of Kilimanjaro and Gail Johnson of Nkosi's Haven, with children from Nkosi's Haven and the Sizanani Centre based in Meadowlands, Soweto. The children are holding gifts which were collected by Kilimanjaro on Christmas Eve last year, when all patrons who visited the club brought a gift with in lieue of the entry fee or had to purchase a gift at the door.Kilimanjaro managed to collect in excess of 300 gifts on the night. In addition to the gifts brought by the patrons, Lego donated boxes of toys, which will be used in the centres for play therapy purposes. The collection was originally done for Nkosi's Haven but due to the response, it was decided that the gifts be shared with the Sizanani Centre.
